Society for the Conservation of Bighorn Sheep - Road & Drinker Repair

MDLT has partnered with the Society for Bighorn Sheep Conservation (SBSC) in the past to refill a 6,400 gallon water cistern on MDLT property in a remote canyon. This water serves as a year-round oasis for the bighorn sheep population in the area. However, recent rains have damaged the access road and mucked up the drinker! We will need volunteer help to hike into the canyon, fill in holes, roll rocks out of the way, and clean up the wildlife drinker. This volunteer opportunity is highly strenuous and requires a high level of fitness and comfortability in remote areas, the ability to lift objects, and work in the sun for periods of time. If you’re interested in helping with this event or have questions, feel free to email mackenzie@mdlt.org.
