“Fall is the traditional time of year when we reflect upon all that we have to be grateful for. This event is an opportunity for MDLT to share our gratitude and appreciation with our community of supporters who share in our love for the Mojave Desert and our treasured public lands,” says MDLT Executive Director Danielle Segura.

“A major component of the MDLT mission is connecting people to the land and the landscapes that surround us, and instilling a sense of stewardship and investment in the value of protecting them. As we eagerly await news of a proposed Desert Monument designation – preserving just over 1.2 million acres, establishing real connections between Joshua Tree National Park and the Mojave National Preserve, and enhancing the work of our organization – MDLT invites the public to come out, enjoy the view, and learn more about what these connections mean to them and to our future generations as well as the to the wildlife, habitats and natural resources they contain.”

Mojave Desert Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to protect the Mojave Desert ecosystem and its scenic and cultural resource values through acquisition, land stewardship and strategic partnerships. Since 2006 the organization has protected over 54,000 acres of desert land.
