What to expect

You spoke and we listened! New for 2024:

To facilitate a quicker checkout for both customers and staff, this year the plant sale will be cashless. We will accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and checks. We have also increased the number of available cashiers to help improve flow and create a better customer experience.

To ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors, we will be staggering entry.

The entrance to the sale will be through the large wooden gate on the north (not highway-facing) side of our building. Some customers arrive early to secure their place in line. This year, customers should line up on the west side of the building by the Mojave Desert Discovery Garden. We recommend bringing water and an umbrella or a wide-brimmed sun hat.

The sale will start at 10am. General parking will be available along the street on Olympic. ADA parking is available in the lot. Please carpool if possible.

All available plants will be arranged on tables in the gravel courtyard inside our building. There will be a holding area around the perimeter of the courtyard with taped-off squares where you can set your plants until you are ready to check out. Once you’ve chosen all your plants, a mobile cashier will come to you to ring you up. We appreciate your patience while our mobile cashiers process orders!

There will be carts available on a first-come, first-served basis to transport plants from the hold area to your vehicle only. Alternatively, you may bring a large cardboard box to pack your plants into. For safety reasons, no carts or boxes will be allowed in the shopping area. If you bring your own cart, it should be placed in the “Holds” area before shopping.

There will be someone available to assist folks with mobility needs to select plants.

Please plan to take all purchased plants with you when you leave. Volunteers will be on hand to help you load. We cannot hold plants for later pickup.
