‘Legendary’ bus back on familiar turf

The bullet-riddled bus was transported last week to the Goffs Cultural Center where it joined the 105-year-old Goffs Schoolhouse, two- and 10-stamp mills, the Mojave Desert Archives and the Samson windmill, which is older than the schoolhouse.

Executive Director Laura Misajet said the MDHCA Board of Directors voted last week to pay to transport the bus from the Mojave Desert Land Trust’s headquarters in Joshua Tree, some 116 miles southwest of Goffs.
