National Public Lands Day #Storiesandstewardship2024 at Giant Rock

Spend your morning at Giant Rock, Saturday, September 28th for National Public Lands Day, or join us on Friday, September 27th at 3PM for Elephant snot (graffiti removal chemical) for optional preparation, application, and camping overnight. Either way, one is sure to enjoy the company of our fantastic partners, community members, and volunteers sharing stories of the boulder. We will meet on the South side of the rock on the concrete pad (Formerly Van Tassel's family cafe). Please park close to the ridge and well south of the pad to keep room for our equipment and cleanup vehicles. Bring plenty of drinking water! Our water is not potable and used for pressure washing. Stay for a complimentary lunch following the work.

With Positional Projects, this event is made possible by BLM - Barstow, Blightsites, the Desert Cleanse Project, the Element Society, High Desert Keepers, the Landers Homestead Valley Association, and the Mojave Desert Land Trust.

Please RSVP here for a free ticket so we have a head count.
